The software term ‘happy path’ refers to the optimal flow of a process or user journey; one where everything goes as expected. Think of it as the best route to a desired outcome.
We liked that as a name and a mission.

Who are we?

HappyPath Labs was founded by Dave Hayes, Gavin Coakley and Denis McCarthy – three operations, IT and software professionals with proven expertise, coupled with a desire to do things differently.

With over 15 years’ experience in Contact Centre delivery, Dave’s strength lies in the application of software and technology to overcome business challenges and underpin transformation strategies. Throughout his career Dave has led teams of Software Engineers, Product SMEs, MI & BI Analysts, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Workforce Planning, Lean Blackbelts, and other Operational Shared Services/Support Teams.
Gavin Coakley

Gavin’s core experience is in Business Strategy, Operational Excellence and Client Engagement. Over 14 years he has held various executive roles across multiple industries, including Service Delivery Director, Operations Director while also leading teams in Quality Assurance, Learning and Development, Training and Risk & Compliance.
Denis McCarthy
Chief Technical Officer

Denis has 16 years’ experience in Full Stack development, primarily as a Senior Software Engineer. He has worked on AWS Cloud, Database, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, Server side and Frontend development. He also holds a First Degree Honours Masters in Management Information Systems.
